The Software Engineer role is a fantastic opportunity for those developers in the early stages of their career to get an unparalleled grounding in the production of high quality commercial software. Each Signifyd Software Engineer is assigned to a small team where they receive continuous mentoring from more experienced team members. We offer flexibility with remote working and office time to ensure a healthy work-life balance for our teams and individual needs.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake the design and development of software development tasks
- Deliver complex technical tasks as part of project deliverables.
- Contribute to the Signifyd engineering culture and ensure that any inefficiencies and wasteful processes are highlighted and addressed
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner, reporting status at your team's daily standup.
- Contribute to the team's functional excellence in terms of coding, processes and tools, bringing in best practices and standards.
- Participate in on-call support to respond to critical issues, occasionally including weekends.
Required Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience
- Excellent programming skills in Java or similar object-oriented language (C#, Go, Kotlin, Scala)
- Experience with scripting languages and SQL
- Problem solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building large-scale high-performance systems
- Kubernetes
- Infrastructure as Code
- E-commerce integrations (eg. Shopify, BigCommerce)
