Hayden Raw - Director of Product Design
An interface design native, Iâve worked on projects spanning game design, graphic design, UI/UX design, and product and service design for a range of digital agencies, start ups and government agencies. The projects Iâve worked on have spanned fin-tech, recruitment-tech, the energy sector, and government interventions for small business, but have all been bound by using a strategic approach to design.
Trained under a founding member of the Memphis design movement, my design style is a colourful deconstruction of form and function, grounded in simplicity. I love a design that challenges my priors, and breaks the âsea of sameâ we live in.
Brought up on the beautiful ĹtÄkau Kuiti (Peninsula area of Dunedin, NZ), Iâve recently moved back from Auckland to help ageing family members program their VCRâs. Central Otago is my happy place; Where youâre just as likely to find me in the hills on my mountain bike, as you are curled up with a Pinot and a pop-science book about how we live in a self-induced hallucination. Check out my LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/haydenraw/
You may be a good fit if you:
- Are pragmatic in your approach and find looking at the big picture and acting iteratively your happy place
- Are across all the latest and greatest technologies and methodologies within the design world and you have a modern style that suits a global enterprise platform
- Are comfortable taking high level written requirements and rough wireframes and designing beautiful experiences for our retailers and the police
- Have experience running a design process with user research, user flow, prototyping, co-design etc that enables you to make the best decisions for the business and our customers
- Enjoy variety in your role - youâre happy regardless of whether youâre doing rough sketches or pixel-perfect high fidelity designs
- Have expertise in visual design tools â I.E. Figma
- Enjoy collaborating with others and have experience working with a range of stakeholders from the Co-CEOâs to Customer Success and Sales to Engineers and Product Managers
